My name is Latisha. My partner and I have been together for 9 1/2 years. We went to Vegas and had a marriage ceremony but we are not married. I have 2 kids from previous relationships. My partner gave birth to a baby girl a month ago. Our children are our world. My girls have accepted our relationship with open arms. My oldest was bullied at one point in time because her mother is a lesbian. She faced her bullies and stood her ground for us. What a champ... I recently lost my job because they said that it would be okay to take family leave because I did meet the requirements. However, I would need adoption paperwork for our baby. Georgia prohibits the adoption of a partners child. It more frustrating because we are not legally married. I worked for that company for 6 years. I'm heartbroken.
