Bolingbrook Pride is a community-driven organization dedicated to fostering inclusion, unity, and love, especially during challenging times.

We’re committed to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies, spanning all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. Our town, Bolingbrook, is a vibrant tapestry of diversity, embracing differences in race, ethnicity, income, gender, and sexual orientation.  

Rev. Marti Barton of Joyful Promises Officiant Services is an LGBTQ+ ally, performing weddings, vow renewals, civil unions, and commitment ceremonies in the SW Chicagoland area. 

She believes that love is love, and that it isn’t who you love, but how you love that matters.  Rev. Marti will be performing FREE ceremonies during the 3rd Annual Bolingbrook Pride’s Picnic and Puppies event in Bolingbrook on Saturday, July 27th from 11 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., for couples who wish to be surrounded by hundreds of people providing love and support to their union.  Couples must register in advance and provide a valid Marriage/Civil Union license to have a legal ceremony performed. (Commitment and vow renewal ceremonies do not require a license.)  For a warm, welcoming, inclusive experience that will touch your heart, Joyful Promises is your choice!

Our overeaching mission is to create a tight-knit community where no one feels isolated or afraid due to their sexual orientation or gender identity.

We welcome individuals from all walks of life, including those who may hold differing views, to engage in open dialogue free from judgment. Here, questions are encouraged, and conversations are embraced as opportunities for mutual understanding. By fostering an environment where everyone's voice is valued, we aim to demonstrate that our shared humanity transcends any perceived differences.
