The Mellwood Art Center offers an industrial flair few places in Louisville can match.

Given our open vendor policy, easily customizable event venues, and proximity to downtown Louisville, the Mellwood Art Center is the perfect place to host the event of your dreams. With five different event venues, Mellwood can accommodate any size event. Additionally, we have the longest rental period in the city, which alleviates the pressure of time constraints, giving you as much time as you need to set up and tear down.

Pigment Gallery

The Pigment Gallery is perfect for smaller events, from intimate weddings to fashion shows; it is the our smallest and least expensive rental venue. The gallery rotates exhibitions from local artists. The room is filled with natural light and features attractive bamboo flooring.

• 2,500 square feet with a small outdoor patio

Monet Room

The Monet Room features three large mirrors, and accommodates up to 180 guests seated at round tables or up to 225 for standing receptions or mix-and-mingle events. A small bridal suite and a warming/cooling kitchen shared with the Picasso Room are also included. Direct access to the lawn can be rented.

Picasso Room

The Picasso Room features exposed brick, a large bridal room, access to a balcony, and plentiful natural lighting. A warming/cooling kitchen shared with the Monet Room is also included. Direct access to the lawn can be rented. 

• 175 – 350 seated guests or up to 700 standing
• 10,000 square feet with a 1,500 square foot balcony  

Van Gogh Ballroom

The Van Gogh Room includes a built-in bar, stage, kitchen, private bride and groom suites, private restrooms, and a large decorative mirror. It can also be connected to the Da Vinci Room (E4) for large events.

• 175 – 650 seated guests or up to 1,200 standing
• 12,500 square feet with a 3,900 square foot courtyard  

Da Vinci Room

The Da Vinci Room is Mellwood’s newest space and includes a VIP area, bridal and groom suites, kitchen, private restrooms, and indoor/outdoor bar. It can also be connected to the Van Gogh Room (E3) for large events.

• 200 – 1,000 seated guest or up to 1,600 standing
• 119,000 square feet with a 4,000 square foot partially covered patio
